IN THE COLD WINTER, COULD AN ADVERTISEMENT KEEP PEOPLE WARM? BY JUST APPLYING THE ‘HEAT TECH WINDOW’ TO YOUR WINDOW, THE ROOM TEMPERATURE RISES 2~3°C (3.6~5.4°F). THE AIR INSIDE THE BUBBLE WRAP BLOCKS THE HEAT CONDUCTION BETWEEN THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE, THUS RAISING THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ROOM. FROM NOVEMBER 4 UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2016, UNIQLO KOREA HANDED OUT THE HEAT TECH WINDOWS TO CONSUMERS IN ALL THEIR STORES FOR FREE. 500,000 PEOPLE WERE GIVEN A HEAT TECH WINDOW, WHICH WAS THEN APPLIED TO THEIR WINDOWS AT HOME. WHEN LOOKING OUT ON THE STREETS, 500,000 WINDOWS HAD TURNED INTO FREE NEW ADVERTISING MEDIA FOR UNIQLO. THE CAMPAIGN VIDEO GARNERED 30 MILLION IMPRESSIONS. UNIQLO HEAT TECH PRODUCT SALES GROWTH: 203%. BY SAVING AN AVERAGE OF 20% ON HEATING THROUGH THE HEAT TECH WINDOW, KOREA’S GROSS MONTHLY HEATING COST WAS REDUCED BY APPROX. $13 MILLION IN THE WINTER OF 2016.
