    IN THIS FILM, AUSTRALIA'S OLDEST BANK, WESTPAC, CAPTURES THE COUNTRY'S SPIRIT OF MATESHIP BY ILLUSTRATING REAL-LIFE MOMENTS OF HELP FROM THE PAST. EXTENSIVE MODELLING, TEXTURING, SHADING AND PAINTING WAS INVOLVED IN RE-CREATING AN ICONIC AUSTRALIAN STRUCTURE LIKE THE SYDNEY HARBOR BRIDGE, WHICH IS SEEN FROM MULTIPLE ANGLES. WE ALSO HAD TO RE-CREATE AN ACCURATE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION LIKE SYDNEY HARBOR BASED ON LIMITED PHOTOS AND SATELLITE / TERRAIN DATA. IT IS SEEN BEING BUILT,
    WITH THE BACKGROUNDS PAINSTAKING CREATED DIGITALLY TO RESEMBLE THE COASTLINE AT THAT HISTORIC PERIOD IN TIME. WE THEN HAD TO BLEND THE ACTORS AND SCENES – SHOT ON GREEN SCREEN – WITH THE HISTORIC WORLD WE HAD CREATED USING VFX. OTHER SCENES INCLUDED FIRE, WATER, CROWDS - ALL DONE THROUGH THE MAGIC OF VISUAL EFFECTS.
  • ENGLISH CONTEXT EXPLANATION :
    THE IDEA OF 'MATESHIP' IS EMBEDDED INTO THE CULTURAL FABRIC OF AUSTRALIA AND ITS PEOPLE. IT IS AN IDEA PERHAPS FOUNDED IN THE FACT THAT THE COUNTRY - IN MODERN TERMS - IS FAIRLY YOUNG AS
    A SOCIETY, AND AS SUCH, THE EARLY (NON-INDIGENOUS) SETTLERS HAD TO BAND TOGETHER AND HELP EACH OTHER IN ORDER TO SURVIVE AND PROSPER. THIS SPOT PERHAPS LOOKS AT THE IDEA OF EVERY DAY HEROES, THE PEOPLE WHO CAN STEP OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP, AND IN SOME CASES, TO SAVE LIVES.
