BACKGROUND OVERVIEW :
Opened to the public in July 2021 as part of "THE TOKYO TOILET," a project to design new public restrooms sponsored by Shibuya Ward of Tokyo and The Nippon Foundation.
A voice-activated experience that is 100% hands free.
It is a public installation that was designed to be universally accessible both as a physical and interactive experience.
The final design was completed through repeated trial and error of training the AI and positioning the mics to create a truly user-friendly experience.
The spherical design replaces the air in the room after each use to create a new benchmark in ventilation engineering.
By combining the contactless experiential design with the architectural design with clean air in mind, we created a public restroom that meets the needs of today.
