In the philippines, not all rides have wheels — especially in the provinces where locals heavily rely on the country’s national animal, the carabao (water buffalo), an iconic filipino ride that farmers use to get around and plow the fields.
With drive-thru advertising targeted to four-wheeled vehicle riders, filipinos in the provinces continued to believe that drive-thru was exclusive to cars.
We saw this as an opportunity to bring mcdonald’s closer to local communities and make the drive-thrus more inclusive to every kind of filipino ride — from four wheels to four legs.
