  • ENGLISH CONTEXT EXPLANATION :
200 million people worldwide are visually impaired. Each of them, actually, sees the world differently, depending on the cause. However, not even their families know how they see. On the other hand, it is difficult for the visually impaired to describe their vision in words. By making the invisible visible, people with and
without disabilities can understand each other better. We created VISIONGRAM, the world's first inclusive technology that can reproduce the vision of the visually impaired. We analyzed data of para-athletes of Japanese national team who have large amounts of visual test information. We developed an algorithm that reproduces vision. It transforms and unifies complex visual parameters into dots. We have launched a system that allows anyone to easily create VISIONGRAM by entering their eye test data. It can be shared through QR code or links, allowing anyone to experience their vision. VISIONGRAM has been adopted by institutions across various industries. In medical institutions,
it enabled doctors to communicate vision to patients. In blind schools, it enabled teachers to understand how their students see. The project continues to grow nationwide, serving as inclusive technology that fosters mutual understanding between people with and without visual disabilities.
