    Fallen Deep is a love story for Thailand, a nation that’s crazy about love.

    Inspired by the popular Thai phrase “ตกหลุมรัก” (falling into a hole of love), we turned this metaphor into a spot that showcased iPhone’s NameDrop capabilities in the most unexpected way.

    The narrative follows a man who quite literally falls into a hole after locking eyes with his dream girl at the airport. This sets off a rollercoaster of emotions and comedic twists, with NameDrop ultimately serving as the hero of the story, creating a sweet yet absurd love story that truly spoke to a nation crazy in love.

  • ENGLISH CONTEXT EXPLANATION :
    Thailand is an Android dominated market, where switching to new tech can often feel intimidating. To get Thais to choose Apple, we needed to make the brand feel approachable, simple, and utterly Thai.

    To do this, we tapped into two things that resonate deeply with the market: humor and love.

    In Thailand, love is a national obsession, and weirdly, the phrase “fall in love”, or “tok-lhoom-ruk” translates to “falling into a love hole”. This inspired a metaphorical love story infused with Thailand’s signature absurd humor to showcase iPhone’s NameDrop feature in the most unexpected way.

    To ensure cultural authenticity, we partnered with Un Wuthisak, Thailand’s beloved comedic director.
    Using only practical effects, we brought the classic Thai idiom to life with playful set design and a forgotten retro love song, Jai Rak by Suchart Chawangkul which touched hearts and topped charts again. 


    The result? A memorable campaign that blended humor with heart, perfectly capturing the spirit of a nation “crazy in love.”
