ENGLISH CONTEXT EXPLANATION :
Japanese toilets are among the most advanced in the world. The lid opens automatically, and they can wash you with just the press of a button. Leading this innovation is Japan’s No. 1 brand, TOTO. However, what was once groundbreaking has become commonplace with daily use, and TOTO is no longer seen as a special brand. Now is the time to go beyond functional convenience and create emotional connections with consumers to cultivate more TOTO fans.
For Japanese people, the toilet is not just a place for waste but an essential part of life, we focused on its deeper emotional significance. It’s where children feel their parents' love during potty training, where secret phone calls are made, and where tears are shed in solitude. TOTO recreated 20 years of a family’s life with a toilet through an animation drawn on a single roll of toilet paper (110 meters). By using warm, hand-drawn illustrations that reflect the craftsmanship Japan is known for, TOTO successfully captured the warmth of family life and gained new fans for the brand.
